Redesigned the USPS Postal Store ecommerce site to introduce faceted search and improve the overall user experience
The USPS Postal Store is the Postal Service's main ecommerce portal. The store sells a wide variety of merchandise, from books of stamps to sweaters and book bags. Because of the internal structure of USPS the Postal Store team does not have control over the payment flow, which was not touched as a part of this effort.
Integrate a new search engine (Oracle Endeca) into the USPS Postal Store, and make UX improvements to the overall experience with the goal of reducing customer service calls and boosting revenue.
Improve the user experience and simplify the purchase flow through updated UI that leverages Endeca functionality.
Assisted with discovery tasks: timeline creation, client kickoff, strategic research and review.
Defined site functionality: created user stories, acceptance criteria, and UX deliverables such as user flows and wireframes.
Led UX team: guided junior designers, presented work to the client, worked with the client to understand and synthesize feedback.
Worked with usability testing vendor to define usability test goals, and analyzed results for wireframe updates.
